Description
The Aureate Rapier is not meant to be used as a weapon. Instead, its merit lies in its undeniable value. Its flawless and enigmatic sheen entices those who see it, and its symbolic importance is enough to capture anyone’s attention. In the right hands, or rather on the right terms, the Aureate Rapier can be the perfect asset.
Mythic Keeper: Azir Kyp
The Aureate Rapier is a golden ceremonial rapier given to Kippian’s royal princes. Its power, which is exploited to its fullest potential by Azir Kyp during The Great War, magnifies its wielder’s innate charisma.
Properties
Chipped Gold
You can sell the chipped gold for 1 gp. You can only do this once per day. A chipped Aureate Rapier deals half its normal damage.
Alchemical Nature
The Aureate Rapier retained some of its alchemical magic, allowing it to self-mend its chipped parts. Next dawn, the Aureate Rapier is back to its unchipped state.
Bargaining Chip
You gain advantage on your Charisma checks whenever you use the Chipped Gold as a bargaining asset. In addition, you can now sell the chipped gold for 5 gp.
Golden Allure
If you are wielding the Aureate Rapier, target a creature (or creatures) who can see this weapon. The target has disadvantage on all Wisdom checks. You can change the target (or targets) of Golden Allure at the start of your next turn.
Alluring Appearance II
You can now target up to four creatures with Golden Allure.
Disarming Presence
Choose one enemy creature affected by Golden Allure. You can use your action to impose disadvantage on its next attack roll. In addition, it takes one additional die for the next damage source it would receive. These effects last until the start of your next turn.
Emboldening Presence
Your allies are protective of the Aureate Rapier and choose to follow its keeper’s lead. Choose an allied creature affected by Golden Allure. If you use your action to attack an enemy creature and it hits, your chosen ally gains advantage on their next attack roll.

- Session 53: The two find a store. They successfully persuade the shopkeeper, Geraldt, to trade Remus’ IOU slip for the ivory strips, a harp, a violin, and some strings. The two add 1 sp and a chipped gold from the Aureate Rapier to balance the deal.
- Session 54: Kiris could not retrieve the Aureate Rapier. The Aureate Rapier is now lost.
- Session 57: Remus confronts Adikia:
“When will you tell me that you’ve lost the royal rapier? I gave you my trust.”
- Session 59: Adikia scouts the hideout and finds three guards. On a separate room, a blond elvish woman is wielding a bloodied Aureate Rapier. The dead bodies of three Dusk Talons lie on the floor.
- Session 59: The party defeats the blond elf. Theobald snatches the Aureate Rapier and hands it to Adikia. Thoradin puts the elf in manacles and gags her to stop her from casting a spell.
- Session 59: Adikia calls Remus and Mitarella, informing the former that the Aureate Rapier has been retrieved.
- Session 60: Kiris, Adikia, Thoradin and Theobald enter Geraldt’s store store. They buy the three diamonds for 700 gp and a piece of the Aureate Rapier.
- Session 65: Adikia opts to stay within the confines of Ironfleet Compound. Theobald asks Adikia an object to remember her by. Adikia gives him a chipped gold that from her Aureate Rapier.
- Session 69: Kiris attempts to give gold to April and the guards as thanks. April refuses, and claims that their heroism and sacrifice are more than enough. Adikia chips her Aureate Rapier and gives it to April.
