Splix and Noah investigate the supposed portal behind the curtain. Splix observes that beyond the curtain is the Astral Plane. Noah, on the other hand, feels a force pulling her through the portal.
The party decides to open the main entrance to Miledu’s prison. Thoradin pushes the door open.
Chains and Columns
The party enter a wide, seemingly empty space. Fog obscures their vision, but they can see the shadow of a large, 100-foot figure standing beyond the glass-like liquid surface. Twelve columns surround them---seven destroyed, while five has chains emanating from them. The chains extend to the gargantuan humanoid figure in front of them.
Chains from the broken columns lay on the ground. The party hear clinking sounds from beyond, just obscured by the fog. Adeena sees the broken chain being pulled by someone from the fog. She uses divine sense and detects the presence of several fiends.
A Battle with Devils
Noah sends the Driftglobe forward, illuminating the area. The party notices a 25-foot tall figure standing behind the 100-foot humanoid figure. Seven Bearded Devils wielding chained blades attack the party.
During the encounter, Splix feels his Ymerald Staff channeling magic that he did not cast.
