The party discuss about their predicament on whether to rest or not. The party decide to not rest and continue exploring. Theobald casts mass cure wounds to heal the party.
Arc scouts ahead. He tells the party that the first two chambers inside are empty and safe.
The party enters the dungeon. Thoradin deduces the age of the masonry to be about 1500 years old. Kiris sees resemblance between the chamber and the Wayraven Catacombs. The party investigate and conclude that the dungeon was once used as a temple.
The party investigate the central fountain. A silver tube connects it to the ceiling. Thoradin, Adeena and Theobald, due to their background, know that the water is a font of holy power. However, blood and ichor currently taint the water.
Splix discovers a room containing urns of powdered silver, intended to be used to sanctify the water into holy water. Theobald pours two urns on the fountain and then utters a holy chant. The impurities flow out of the fountain. Kiris, Adeena, Theobald, and Thoradin fill their waterskins with holy water. A few minutes later, the blood and ichor resurface, emanating from the center of the fountain.
Teleportation Circle
Splix, Kiris and the scholars see a teleportation circle drawn on the floor of an adjacent circular room. The scholars disagree on where the sigils point. Kiris determines that the teleportation circle should teleport them to the Plane of Dragons.
Kiris sees a statue on the room next to it. Kiris realizes that it is the ancestor from his visions. An inscription on the bottom, in ancient primordial, reads Krynn Acquermann.
Thoradin checks a nearby hallway harboring two unopened doors. He spots three sets of footprints, two sets coming in and out of the right door.
Thoradin opens the right door and reveals a used storeroom converted into a camping spot.
Thoradin hears a voice from within the locked left door. The voice asks Thoradin to set him free. He destroys the doorknob and sees Roldan Vinke running towards the door. Thoradin slams the door, breaking the hinges and trapping Roldan Vinke. Thoradin puts on manacles on Roldan.
Other members of the party rush to Thoradin and confront Roldan. The party sees Roldan in a deplorable state. Adeena, sensing vulnerability from Roldan, asks everyone to leave the room so Roldan would confide in her.
Roldan tells Adeena about his reason for allying himself with The Cult of Miledu: Roldan will do everything to be with his dead wife. The Cult of Miledu promised Roldan just that, but because of their sudden treachery, Roldan is now second guessing their intents. He promises to help the party if they help him revive her wife.
Roldan shares that Arc was being used as the target of the scrying spell. This allows the party to be spied upon by The Cult of Miledu.
